Rae hails from the Muskogee and Tulsa area originally with four years of belly dance study under her shimmy belt. She is a former ballroom instructor and competitor, as well as performing in hip hop, folk, lithurgical and lyrical jazz. Rae is a long-time alumni member from Gypsy Fire Belly Dance (of Tulsa) and has also studied caberet and Egyptian stylings under Deb Oldham of the Queens of Chaos. She draws her belly dance influences from traditional folk, American tribal, Romany, and raqs gothique stylings. A background in the arts since childhood, Rae also has an avid drive for the humanities in visual art, history, theatre, religious studies, cinema critique, writing, and her first love, music. Rae aims to finish out a degree in radio communications and music production, as well as continuing writing band reviews and rocking at concerts. Rae is also an actor in Renaissance Faires and will never grow out of playing dress-up. Her spare-time hobbies also include reading, drumming, Medieval weapondry play, cooking, crafting, and meandering out and about with her Yorkie, Lily-Phoenix.
